i can’t say with certainty
what on earth tomorrow brings
but, in a billion years, with little doubt
earth’s sun is burning out
and man must face his destiny
find another galaxy
venture out beyond the stars
without a home to return to

the power of nuclear fission
to accelerate; propagate the human race

and the power of determination
to save what’s left of civilization
