lyrics

( ( ( REFLECTION ON THE SEA ) ) )

A plume of ashes, blows away
scattering the old remains,
a box of pine could not confine
the infinity within your eyes
a Starlite mint; a random note
in the pocket of an overcoat,
the little things we leave behind
the fragments which comprise our lives

The salted sea
rush back to me
the tides will turn again, my friend
and carry me...

We’re not men of consequence
we suffer in our own silence,
like whispers in a crowded room
or bees within a flower’s bloom
mere grains of sand, on a timeless beach,
amongst the countless stars in our galaxy
which aligned to bring us both together
to steal our own piece of forever...

Upon the breeze
which has no beginning, and which has no end
it blows through me
and it carries you away, my friend...

Alas but, what are we;
mere vessels of consciousness,
congealed out of the mist
in a frenzy of random chance
intangible, and yet
I held it in my arms,
like the distant sun holds light,
and emits reflections upon

The salted sea
rush back to me
the tides will turn again, my friend
and carry me...

Upon the breeze
which has no beginning, and which has no end
it blows through me
and it carries you away, my friend...
